Another Day
A papercraft serious game designed to simulate, navigate, and ground CPTSD behavioral loops.
About the Game
"Another Day" is a game about a girl trapped inside a colorless, shifting house. Her only way out is to navigate the ever-changing maze, uncover the secrets it's hiding, and escape before the darkness swallows her whole.
The Everwatcher — a giant eye embedded in the wall — constantly monitors her. If it catches her moving through the house, it summons shadow beasts that hunt her down, trapping her inside forever.
Her journey is about exploration, finding keys, solving environmental mysteries, and outmaneuvering the house itself.
The Metaphor
The entire narrative is a metaphor for CPTSD:
- The house represents being trapped in your own mind
- The Everwatcher symbolizes hypervigilance and relentless self-judgment
- Shadow beasts embody intrusive, self-critical thoughts
- The shifting rooms mirror trauma loops and unstable emotional landscapes
The tone is dark and mysterious, with semi-battle mechanics, atmospheric exploration, and a deeper message beneath the surface.
